  • Art: We design artistic installations that blend the real, virtual, and poetic. They can be exhibited worldwide, and we often work on special commissions.
  • Services: We connect brands to their customers through interactive technologies. We bring our tools and expertise to cultural projects, we design bespoke content for events and create immersive installations for museums.
  • R&D: At the intersection of arts and sciences, we explore how new technologies can create new experiences.

DESCRIPTION

As a real-time 3D Designer, your mission will be to assist the creative team in the design and production of all our projects. Your main task will be to imagine, create, and develop 3D environments in Unity, including modelling, texturing, lighting, animation and interactivity.

MISSION AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Creation of 3D environments on Unity (or other real-time engines).
    • Integration of assets, interfaces, shaders, and code generated by the team.
    • Integration and development in VR / AR / MR.
    • Be responsible for the production and delivery of assigned project parts within deadlines.
    • Participate in the creative process with the creative director and project developers by proposing concepts and creating storyboards.
    • Work with the creative director, designers, developers, artists, and technicians to ensure synergy between the environment, its content, and the technology used.
    • Suggest appropriate production techniques.
    • Evaluate the development time needed to produce graphic applications.
    • Be a resource for the team in your field of expertise; assist, train, and support based on your acquired knowledge and skills.
  • Occasionnaly, produce non real-time visual content /motion design for narrative shows
  • Deployment of content on-site (work trip)
    • On-site adaptation and calibration of content.
    • Configuration of software on operating machines.
  • R&D in usage innovation (multimedia, interactivity, AI, etc.).
    • Contribute to the studio’s research on interactive and immersive technologies.
  • Perform any other responsibilities and/or tasks related to the position.

 

PROFILE & JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • At least 3 years of experience in creating real-time 3D environments.
  • Creative vision and critical thinking.
  • Curiosity and a spirit of adventure.
  • Ability to understand and modify complex code.
  • Good knowledge of pipelines and real-time rendering systems.
  • Teamwork and adaptability.
  • Interest in Digital Arts and the audiovisual world.
  • Fluent in English, French is a plus.

 

SKILLS

Required:

  • Development of real-time 3D environments.
  • Modelling, texturing, lighting, post-process, shader.
  • Unity + Visual Effect Graph.
  • Knowledge of VFX and generative/parametric visuals.
  • Understanding of C# development (and/or object-oriented development in general).
  • Adobe Suite (Premiere / Photoshop / Afx / Illustrator).

CONDITIONS

Contract Type: Fixed-term contract (CDD) – possibility of permanent contract (CDI) if the profile is in line with the studio.

Contract Start: As soon as possible.

Contract Duration: Minimum of 12 months.

Salary: starting at €30,000 per year gross. (depending on experience)

Workplace  : Pôle Pixel, 36 rue Emile Decorps, bât 7-8, 69100 Villeurbanne

Occasional work outside regular office hours and occasional travel internationally.
